STCA, Town Center developer, covers Gerend’s PAC $70,000 debt

STCA, the Town Center developer owned by Matt Samwick, has contributed $70,882.80 to former Mayor Don Gerend’s Livable Sammamish PAC.

Gerend and Kathy Huckabay, also a former mayor of Sammamish, were the only citizen contributors to Livable Sammamish. Gerend was the public face of the political action committee.

New residents’ PAC announced; breaks fundraising records

  • Sammamish Life PAC announced on Facebook 
  • Raised $36,000 to date, more than any other campaign 
  • Opposes overdevelopment, concerned over quality of life 
  • Stated support for three candidates 

Last week, Michael Scoles, a relatively unknown newcomer to the Sammamish local politics arena, announced on Facebook a formation of “Sammamish Life,” a new PAC (Political Action Committee) to “keep Sammamish livable,” per its website (www.samm-life.com).
