Reader comments are welcome. Due to a grossly inappropriate comment posted in July 2018 that could be construed as a threat to public safety, all comments henceforth will be held for moderation before posting. Comment approval may take as little as one day or several days, depending entirely on the schedule of the editors.

There are Rules of Engagement and as long as these are followed, no Comment will be refused regardless of the position taken, although if any of the rules below are violated (at the sole discretion of the editors), portions of the Comment may be edited.

Due to trolling, anonymous commenting is now prohibited. Commenters must use their real name and login with a real email address. Easy login is available with Facebook, Twitter, Google or Apple.

• No libel (the written word) or slander (the verbal word, though obviously in this posting it is written so “libel” is the operative word)
