Mayor Malchow

It was with regret we learned of the decision by Mayor Christie Malchow to pass on seeking reelection to a second term as Sammamish city council member.

Malchow accomplished more in one term than many council members have in multiple terms.

She didn’t hesitate to take on highly controversial issues. Once she did, her tenacity in solving the issue was awe inspiring.

Rick Rudometkin Selected for Sammamish City Manager

Sammamish City Council unanimously selected Rick Rudometkin as its new City Manager and directed Interim City Manager Larry Patterson to enter contract negotiations.

Rudeometkin is currently County Manager of Eddy County, New Mexico. He is currently also a City Manager finalists at the Mill Creek and was previously County Manager finalists at Clark County.

Second city manager candidate withdraws

The second of six candidates for Sammamish City Manager withdrew today from consideration.

Daniel Morgan

Daniel Morgan, a retired US Army colonel who is currently a business consultant, withdrew. He only said the position did not meet his career goals, Sammamish Comment was told.
