The Sammamish Comment interviewed Kent Treen, a Sammamish City Council candidate running for Position 4, currently held by Council Member Ramiro Valderrama, who is not seeking re-election.
Treen is opposing Karen Howe, who ran for City Council in 2017 and lost to Deputy Mayor Karen Moran.

recently adopted concurrency ordinance is a partner in Johns Monroe Mitsunaga Koloušková PLLC of Bellevue, a firm that often represents the Master Builders Association and developers in land use appeals.
Duana Koloušková, the attorney of record in Gerend’s petition to the Growth Management Hearings Board (GMHB), has represented developers that build in Sammamish. This includes Murray Franklyn, Polygon Northwest and Connor Homes. She is also on the board of the Master Builders Assn.
She has represented petitioners in appeals to the GMHB.
“Spawning Grounds”, a documentary film directed by Nils Cowan, tells the story of the Lake Sammamish Kokanee, shows Sammamish’ natural gems normally hidden from the average resident.

Tamarack subdivision stormwater drainage issues, but some progress toward one seems to be happening.
The principal sticking point remains how much of a multi-million dollar stormwater control solutions would be for public benefit and how much would be for private (Tamarack) benefit.
State law prohibits using public money for private benefit.
