Election Results, Day 2: Malchow, Treen, Gamblin widen vote lead

Election results from Day 2 of the Sammamish City Council race saw the winners from election night widen their leads in vote totals, even if the percentages were shaved fractionally.

Incumbent Christie Malchow ended election night with a 2,985 vote lead over challenger Karen McKnight. Today, this vote lead increased to 3,259. The percentage narrowed slightly from 66.35% to 65.83%.

Kent Treen ended election night with a 1,752 vote margin and 59.59% of the vote over opponent Karen Howe. Today, the vote difference increased to 1,933 and the percentage dropped slightly to 59.40%.

Ken Gamblin ended election night with a 2,732 vote margin and 64.82% over Rituja Indapure. Today, the vote margin is 3,042 and the percentage dropped slightly to 64.65%.

  1. This morning I witnessed a beautiful gesture. Along 228th I saw Christie gathering her campaign signs to help Sammamish clean. Her opponent’s placards were still visible, a reminder to
    a campaign that was ugly and unfair at times.
    Thank you Christie for a good campaign and a good gesture.
