The seventh candidate field for Sammamish City Council yesterday. Four seats are up for election.
Pamela Stuart filed her paperwork with the state Public Disclosure Commission, declaring for Position 7, the seat held by retiring Council Member Tom Odell.
John Robinson previously filed for this position.
Stuart hasn’t officially announced, or so it seems. But she’s already been endorsed by the King County Democrats organization (hence probably triggering the PDC filing).
Minal Kode Ghassemieh and Ritjua Indapure, who previously filed for City Council, also appear to have the backing of the King County Democrats.
The City Council is a non-partisan body but Republican and Democratic party organizations endorsed in every election.
Stuart retained Blue Wave Political Partners, a Democratic consulting group that raises money for Democratic causes and candidates. A person answering the phone number on Stuart’s PDC filing said they made the filing on Stuart’s behalf.
Official filing for elective office begins Monday and is completed May 19. More candidates may emerge in addition to the seven declared so far.
