Subject: A Fond Farewell
Sammamish Team –
It is with mixed emotions that I share the news of my resignation from the City of Sammamish. I have recently accepted a position with the City of Mercer Island as the Director of Parks and Recreation.
As many of you know, I live on Mercer Island and this is an opportunity that will allow me to work much closer to home. An especially important factor, considering I have two young children and another one on the way (surprise!)
My last day in the office will be June 22, 2018. As I depart Sammamish, please know I am happy to provide support to the team during the transition and will continue to be a resource to the City.
It has been an extreme honor to serve the Sammamish community and to work with all of you for the past 11.5 years. I am so very thankful for the many community connections I’ve made, the amazing partnerships, and all of the work and projects we completed as a team. I will forever be indebted to my Sammamish colleagues, who are truly the most talented and dedicated professionals in the industry. That’s what makes this move the hardest – saying farewell to my work family – I think the world of all of you.
I wish the Sammamish team the absolute best in future endeavors and know that we will stay in touch. Stay strong.
Jessi
