Sammamish is seeking applicants to appoint to four commissions. The deadline to file an application is Dec. 15.

The commissions are:

• Planning Commission
• Parks Commission
• Human Services Commission
• Arts Commission

The Planning Commission is the first stop for any revisions to land use zoning and ordinances. It also reviews annually the Comprehensive Plan. Traffic concurrency policies and ordinances also are reviewed here. The City Council reviews all recommendations before approving, modifying or rejecting them.

Sammamish Comment encourages the four City Council candidates who don’t get elected Tuesday to apply for appointment to the Planning Commission.
